Embry Holdings Limited announces with the deepest grief that Dr. Cheng Man Tai, the founder and former chairman of the board of directors, passed away due to illness in Hong Kong on 19 June 2024 at the age of 96.

As founder of the Embry Group, Dr. Cheng dedicated himself to the underwear industry for more than 50 years, and devoted his life and painstaking efforts to the Group’s development. His contribution is truly outstanding.

Dr. Cheng fully supported and encouraged the development of technology education in China's textile industry. He established the CHENG MAN TAI FUND under the Textile Vision Science and Education Foundation to benefit the industry. He is highly respected by the industry peers.

The entire staff of the Company expresses deep condolences to Dr. Cheng’s relatives for his passing.
